Molly and Sean had an romantic wedding filled with amazing handmade details. The ceremony took place at Saint Katharine Drexel on a beautiful cloudy day! The ceremony was traditional, and filled with beautiful bible verses, read by their friends and family members. Molly carried a handkerchief at the church that has been used in 25 family weddings, dating back to 1897! After the ceremony, the couple had a bagpiper ‘pipe them out’ of the church! Molly and Sean also have family ties to this church, as Sean’s Sister, Megan Quinn, helped with the interior designing of the church.
We photographed their formal photos inside and outside of the church, and at Fabyan Villa in Geneva. I loved photographing the couple with their fun bridal party. They had a big bridal party, but the group made it so easy– my cheeks hurt from laughing with them! I sent the bridal party back to the party bus, so Zac and I could photograph some sweet, and intimate shots of the couple. Then Molly and Sean hopped back on the bus to party their way to the reception.
The reception was at Shannon Hall in Batavia, Illinois, which makes for an amazing wedding venue– It used to be a church! The tables were dressed in navy linens, and the centerpieces were vases filled with beautiful yellow flowers. Everything printed was designed by the bride, from the invitations, to menus, to the wedding website, and even the signage. Molly and Sean’s first dance was so fun. They did a second line dance, complete with umbrella and handkerchiefs, and a three piece band! Thank you Molly and Sean for choosing us to photograph your wedding! We had such an amazing time photographing your special day!
